MAP OF THE HARBOURFRONT DISTRICT
& EXHIBITION PLACE

The map below is copied from a recent map book of Toronto. Unfortunately, it does not show the Queen Elizabeth Building (location of The ROYAL Show) and does not label the show hotel. It is, however, the best map available. Here is why! Please follow these directions while looking at a downloaded map. Click on map to enlarge.

The Queen Elizabeth Building is in Exhibition Place, (left side of the map, above Ontario Place, on the shore of Lake Ontario) and is under the “blue road” that curves through the white space above the words, “EXHIBITION PLACE”. That blue road is no longer there due to the construction of the BMO Stadium, the recently competed soccer stadium. The QE Building is beside the stadium, on the west side. The black circled “P” is where you will find parking (That’s always clearly marked at $10.00 per day but during the international under 20 soccer games, it was $20.00 for parking.)
The Radisson Admiral Hotel, where the President’s Reception and Banquet will be held and some delegates will be staying, is located on the map by finding the “blue” word Harbourfront... in the Lake! Directly above it you will see another black circled “P” and directly above that, you will see a red bed and roof symbol. That is the Radisson Admiral Hotel. It’s a five minute drive from the QE Building to the Hotel and parking, like any other area of Downtown Toronto, is always available but you have to search for it and the cost varies depending on what events are on, how far you are willing to walk, and if you have a horseshoe hanging from your rear view mirror!
Public transportation is available between the hotel and the QE Building but you will need to transfer from one streetcar to another. The trip takes approximately 15 minutes if the connections are good. Rush hour service is faster than evenings but it is a safe part of Toronto for walking or taking the streetcar.
Please remember you will be in Toronto, Canada’s largest and most congested city. There will be many conventions in town and all services are relatively expensive compared with smaller centres. The events, activities and venues are numerous, very multi-cultural and exciting… and everything is open late. I know you will enjoy your visit to Toronto and will take home the memories of many exciting adventures.
