Postcards
We
are very pleased to announce that postcards # 3 in the series of special
postcards celebrating buildings in the historic districts of Toronto,
will be on sale at the GTAPA booth in Society Row of the ROYAL. These
cards have been specially prepared for the GTAPA sponsored shows by
artist John Stuart Pryce. www.prycestudios.com
Postcard
#3 will be The Beach District in east-end Toronto, showing the Fire
Hall on Queen St., “The Goof” restaurant, the Gardener’s
House in Kew Gardens, the Neville Streetcar and two Life Saving Stations
on two beaches on Lake Ontario.
A
surprise postcard will be handed out at the GTAPA booth to celebrate
Toronto's CN Tower.

Note: Limited quantities of the first two postcards from
two previous shows will also be for sale at the GTAPA booth.
Postcard # 1 was of The Distillery Historic District showing a montage
of buildings in the former Gooderham & Worts Distillery.
Postcard # 2 was The St. Lawrence Market District showing the Flat Iron
Building, the St. Lawrence Market, St Lawrence Hall and the storefronts
on south side of Front Street.
Commemorative

There will be three commemorative covers:
1. a show cover commemorating the launch of the new definitive series
of stamps at ROYAL*2007*ROYALE There will be five stamps in a souvenir
sheet showing beneficial insects; the Convergent Ladybeetle, the Golden-eyed
Lacewing, the Northern Bumblebee, the Canada Darnet and the Cecropia
Moth
2. a show cover commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Centennials,
Canada’s definitive series that celebrated the 100th anniversary
of Confederation in 1967
3. a show cover commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Scout Movement
Pictorial
cancellations from Canada Post
There will be four pictorial cancellations, one for each of
the three covers listed above and a special cancellation showing The
RPSC logo. Images

Note: The postcards and covers listed above will be available
at the GTAPA Booth and the Scouts on Stamps Booth. The four cancellations
will be available at the Canada Post Booth, The GTAPA Booth or the Scouts
on Stamps Booth. All cancellations will have the dates, October 12,
13, 14, 2007 and will be available throughout the show.
SHOW VENUE & HOTEL
•
The show will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Building, Exhibition Place
(formerly the Canadian National Exhibition). Maps and directions will
be put on the website at the completion of the construction of the new
soccer stadium beside the QE Building. Roads and parking lot locations
will be changed from your last visit.
•
The hotel of choice for the ROYAL is the Radisson Admiral – Toronto
Harbourfront, 249 Queen’s Quay West, Toronto ON M5J 2N5 phone:

• The Event Rate will be $189.00 per room, per night (Mention
the ROYAL to get to Event Rate.). This rate is guaranteed, now until
the show. Guests are responsible for calling in to make their own reservations
with their own credit card. No rooms will be blocked for show guests
and the rate does not guarantee the hotel will have rooms available.

ON THE ROYAL*2007* ROYALE

The
Exhibition’s Court of Honour
We are pleased to announce that the following exhibits will be on display
in the Court of Honour at the ROYAL* 2007*ROYALE. It will be a spectacular
display of 40 frames of great Canadian, award-winning exhibits:
• The 1939 Royal Train Postal Markings and Their Majesties’
Tour of North America, by Doug Lingard of Ottawa
• Canada’s Large Queens by Fred Fawn of Toronto
• The Centennial Definitives of Canada, by Doug Irwin of Toronto
• Postal Beginnings at Niagara Falls Canada, 1801 to 1904, by
Doug Irwin of Toronto
Non-competitive
exhibits
There will also be a number of non-competitive exhibits that will be
displayed primarily for general interest in the various disciplines
of the hobby. These will be found in cubes around the exhibition area.
A listing of these exhibits will be announced closer to the show.
Attention
Exhibitors!
Alan Hanks, the Exhibition Chairman, has announced that we have over
260 competitive frames registered for the show and over 60 non-competitive
frames including the Court of Honour. Registration of exhibits is now
closed.
